At 25: 50 sec close up. Watch his technique. T- top stays in front of the face. on recovery he reach out up front twisting in and twisting out ifrom the waist, pushing the leg on speed, puhing the canoe forward. It's all about the  REACH and speed of the blade out of the water. locking the buttom elbow. Moving the lower arm first and the T- top (Hand) follows just in the level of the face and twisting the wrist in, to get the blade out the Water.
