one man trailer
« on: September 20, 2006, 09:29AM »
we just bought a jetski trailer that we're going to convert to a one man trailer so we can do more group downhill runs....

we're going to split the cost between the guys with one mans and those who intend of getting one mans(can't force you but most everyone with a one man is chipping in, so up to you if you want to add yourself to that list).  depending on how many people it should be around $20...

I'm definitely in.
I have welding equipment if we want to modify and maximize the rig.

Can the women who are interested in doing the malibu runs with the guys chip in?

I would like to coordinate a few runs with you guys with the likes of myself, Sarah, Kathy, Alli, Red, Nakamura, Moose, and others who have access to one mans.

ok, trailer is ready to use... me and earl-mon put in about 40 man hours last few days getting it ready.... it can be used as is, but we still need to add a tray for the amas at the bottom(metal is all cut up- still need steel mesh), old paint needs to be grinded off and needs to be painted, light kit, padding, tie hooks, screw on license plate...  lot of little stuff- final details

still some work that we need people to step for.. this weekend is out, but next weekend maybe...

me and earl are done looking at the thing till it's done, so get on it.

just putting on a hitch isn't going to cut it. The mighty trailer sits in my backyard and waits for everybody who wants to use it to come by and put in some sweat equity. It still needs paint stripped, ama carriage welded, lights installed etc. All genders welcome.
I'll start prepping for paint etc. and the more help we get the sooner we're using it.
Let me know when YOU can help and we'll coordinate.
Doomed to dume.

thanks to christian for burning the midnight oil (and daytime oil) and doing the majority of the remaining work, which winded up being a lot.  but the almighty one man trailer is done...

previous estimates were wrong-  the new buy in is $50, still minor for what we have... as cal says, if $50 an issue, then we probably don't want em... adam is collecting..  please contact him to get him the cash... after the holidays, the excuses are over, so let's get our paddle on.

Great Job Guys!!!!  It looks new.  Now all I need is a canoe.  Maybe before the season ends my Hurricane will arrive. and I'll be able to use it.......
