fyi for adamd and lg....

prevailing wind is usually out of the west, which means set a high line a little further north to set up for bumps later in the day (and to not fight it if you're too far south).  within reason of course.

next factor is tide... we have major tidal swing that day, so when we hit the harbor, the water should be coming out, so stay left by the rocks coming in

next, look at the harbor line.  it's very easy to just hug the docks and follow that line, but as you notice, it can bend around, and if  you cut a smart line, it can save a lot of distance..

it's easy to get lost in the harbor, so study this.

also, when you get in the back bay, there's a lot of shallow areas, so don't be tempted to hug too close- if it's shallow, the water is dead, and will slow down the boat.

A ship in harbor is safe - but that is not what ships are for.
