What is Mana'o?
« on: April 20, 2009, 09:00PM »
As defined by the Hawaiian to English dictionary;

Mana'o - Thought, idea, belief, opinion, theory, thesis, intention, meaning, suggestion, mind.

This part of our forum is to try to give some cultural insight to our sport beyond the competition.  People in the club have, at one time or another, had questions related to paddling in a hawaiian/polynesian sense.  Well this is the place to ask those questions and / or give answers.

"You will be living in the haole time, and the wise thing to do is to move with the time, because time is a thing that belongs to no one....There's only one thing I ask of you, my children - You are Hawai'i, and I would appreciate that you remain Hawaii"
